Sharing SAW practises with Estonian teachers
On Saturday 1st February 2014, SAW ran a workshop for families at Whitefriars Primary School in Kings Lynn. The theme, chosen by the school, was ‘Rainforests’ and families worked together learning about the diversity of species that live there before making mini rainforests in a bottle and canopies to take home.
The project was part of a Norfolk County Council partnership between schools in Norfolk and Estonia. SAW Saturday provided an example to the visiting teachers of how science and the arts can be combined to create activities accessible to people of all ages and interests – perfect for encouraging parents into schools and for building links in the community!
